Tokyo Travelogue Day 3 – Shibuya Harajuku Akihabara Golden Gai
Day 3 – Shibuya, Harajuka, Akiharaba, Golden Gai
(Super Image Intensive Post!)
Wearing our most prettiest and comfortable outfits + full face make up, We are ready to go!

First stop at Shibuya! In order to commerate this, we snap pics with Hachiko’s statue, the legendary Akita who waited for faithfully till his dying day, for his owner who passed away when he was out of town. The Japanese admired the loyalty of this dog and had this statue erected to commerate him!

Shibuya 109 wasnt open so we popped into Yoshinoya to get a taste of the original beef bowl which I love in Singapore!

Very bemused by the lady who looking over and start acting damn fake when she meets our eyes. LOL

Beef Bowl with 2x more beef that SIngapore portions!

Kaiyi ordered this Cheese Curry Rice and i swear this is so freaking awesome! Y U NO HAVE THIS IN SINGAPORE!

Mind you, their portions are massive! And I can see every single skinny Japanese finishing the entire bowl, while me and kaiyi were like “OMG OMG OMG so fulllllll but sooo gooodddd!”
Walking the streets of Shibuya which are filled with interesting pebbled walkways and loud signaboards everywhere~

I call this the 7 levels of Chio Bu

Ladies, if your men want to go to Japan, go with him cause he will literally lose all sense the moment he step into this place cause the ladies there are seriously HOT!
So after we feel bummed out abt how Un-chio we are, we headed over to H&M which is pricier than Singapore and pretty much offered the same thing.

Headed to the Salt and Tobacco musemum.

Love all the photography in this place!

We took pictures with Salt! (The one we eat, not Angelina Jolie Kind)

Different types of Tobacco pipes

Looks so Pan’s Labyrinth

Ciagarette Packings used to be so chio!

Advertisements for Cigarettes

Act like i posing for pictures but actually just want to plant my butt somewhere and sit!

Headed up to Harajuku and we took loads of random pictures enroute!

Hachiko bus!

And we reached!

Headed to the Yoyogi Park which is pretty famous for the interest groups and its scenary.

This little boy whom we both squeal in delight and started taking stalkerish photos off cause he is sooooooooooooooooo damn cute! Look like little paddington bear right!

So relaxing

Random Photoshoot

Pretty Little Flowers

The main attraction/fountain of the park

Came across this little cutie who was bored out by his owner! Mad ADORABLE

Headed out and saw this procession going on and totally did not notice it was the famous Meiji Jinggu Shrine!

Little girl guides asking for donations and they will say “Thank You” in those high pitchy squeaky tehy voice that makes you want to squash them all together to give them group hug!

Harajuku!

Thats a guy if you are wondering..

This street was filled with people!

Loads of stalls selling bags, shoes, trinkets and novelty items and they can be quite pricey at times

Tried on boots!

Hungry so we got the GIANT takoyaki ball!

Super shiok and it filled up the box which is in my hand! BIG RIGHT!
Decided to head over to Meiji Jinggu Shrine andwe got hopelessly lost and had to ask 3 different people for directions! So we took random pictures to make up for it.

Love this shot

Walked one round and found the original Harajuku street but it was closing off for the night and we didnt see any cosplay-ers

Finally back to the Shrine’s entrance which we stood infront of all along *Smacks self for being blur*

It was a pretty long walkkkk in…

Our face was pale from the cold and all our makeup was gone! Solid 9 hours of walking okie!

Dying Feet

Camera died at this point and I had to rely on Kaiyi to grab the snapshots!
Grabbed this Macha Green Ice cream from a rest stop for like 150 yen and we totally dont regret it cause I have never ever ever ever tasted such a rich green tea icecream like this!

We wanted to grab a second one and we found out the right after we got this cone, the stall closed! Are we seriously lucky or what! Must be the help from Meiji Jinggu Shrine. Heeheehee
Trust the Japanese to make their toilets so chio too

Reach the entrance to find that it was closing for the night as we sped through the entire compound snapping shots and buying our wish plaque so that we can hang them around this particular tree (couldnt find my snapshot of it) which is blessed every mrning by the monks in the temple!

Wish Plaques:

Satisfied and kenna kicked out by the monks, it was time to grab dinner at Akihabara Electric Town!
Look these shots which Ah Kai took of the subway

Hatsune Miku is reallllllly big here!

We like big neh nehs

Headed to the maid cafe cause we are very “hamsup” people and we wanna see what is the hype abt these young girlies who worked there!
They didnt allow us to take her photo and I later knew why…

Front Desk and the interior

Girls in maid costume will step onto of this platform, singing, dancing, and make you embarrased by calling all the patrons to clap for you when it is lucky draw time! They realllllyyy suuuuppperrrr tehy to the max!

Our Omelette rice and dessert where the girls will tehy, giggle and make you do act cute actions / clap for her when she is drawing the cat face on your omelette rice. Friends that know me knows that I cant stand tehy-ing and i will seriously get goosebumps!

Bought a meal package that comes with 2 pictures. We got to pick 2 girls and stand ontop of the platform to take cutesy shots *Jap Style*

That whole meal which consist of Omelette Rice + 2 Drinks + 1 cake + 2 photos cost us $100! The girls arent that pretty… Its like they only place the pretty ones at the entrance and the aub-standard ones will be serving you. *stabs self* had a mini lucky draw at the place and I won a picture of a Japanese girl. I was like -_- i dont want….
It was an interesting experience though, but you just kind of would expect more for the price you are paying. So if you are intending to go to a maid cafe, I advise against it, if not.. dont go to the one which we went to!
Tired us could find much stuff that interest us in Akihabara and we decided to head to the infamous “Golden Gai” aka Japan’s Geyland aka Prostitute street! Located near Shinjuku, we happily got lost and started walking around before we stumbled on the place!

Pretty interesting cause the hotel people told me that this was “Korean Town” where you can find Korean food. So does that mean the prostitutes are Koreans too?

Didnt managed to see any hookers but we got accosted by so many gigolos instead! Some handsome.. some were errrrr… sai. So we popped into a familymart and bought this “Yong Tau Foo” thing which Kaiyi’s friend highly recommended to eat back at the hotel.

Dropped by Mcdees to get pork burger which was soooo damn goood!

I didnt even know there was pork burger until Kaiyi pointed out to me! Too bad SIngapore will never have this on our menus =(
So after we stuffed ourselves silly we once again soaked our feet in a hot bath and turned in earlier for DISNEYSEA the next day!
Shall updated on it in the next entry!
I am missing Japan all over and over again!
